Can I just say hello to everyone on this forum.. I've been following it for some time now while I do my build and the tips and advice have been invaluable.
I am up to issue 45 fitting the deck beams for the upper gun deck.5 wooden strips are supplied 1.5 x 6 mm. 300 mm long. Well frames 13 and 15 take up one strip alone so i don't see how there's going to be enough strips to complete the deck am I missing something? but another thing is the 1.5 mm strips seem very flimsy. I have strips of 5 mm x 2 mm over is it ok to use them instead? thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your time with us.... As for the deck beams, you should have also received 5 x 1.5x6mm strips with the previous issue (44), those along with the strips supplied in 45 means you have enough to carry out the task of fitting the beams. Although they may appear flimsy, when you come to lay and glue the deck planks you will find they are quite sturdy.... Cool Cool Hope this helps.

Regards

Alan
