Hi all A small update on the Wasa The hull has been sanded and the second planking has been fitted to one side of the lower hull under the first rubbing strake. I am now trying to mirror the planking on the other side . Once finished on to the top side of the hull which is planked in a different type of wood  Thanks for looking rgd Martyn Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?

Thanks for the bril comments guys A little more progress on the hull The bottom of the hull is now complete. I sanded and applied a light coat of varnish just to protect the wood Next up fitting the second planking and the Wales . The planks are a light walnut and the Wales are dark walnut which makes a nice contrast. As you can see I have also fitted the first gallery and bobbits. These parts are a right nightmare to trim and fit as they have to be cut and filed to fit the contour of the hull Next job fitting the second gallery but that can wait till I get a bit higher with the second planking Thanks for following rgd Martyn Ps the beak is only tacked on at the moment as it needs serious trimming to fit  Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?
