Thanks everyone as always I painted the base color on the chair and then added highlight layers.Once this has dried I will be blending the colors with a wash of the base color and then add in some shadows to give more depth and the final step will be to add the studs and apply a gloss color over the leather. The chair is finished.I did a burnt umber wash and then a clear gloss coat for the leather, added the brass nail heads and assembled the chair.

Thanks guys, my wife said the chair looked comfy too! So I have finished the central ball that connects the time rings.I did a test fit to make sure everything fits OK .The next step is to start adding the petals to the time rings. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Thanks everyone. I have now started assembling the time rings. The petals have been glued on to the big ring and the small ring and I test fitted them.I have to add actuator arms to both rings and then install them onto the platform. I also painted the feet. The kit has 3 feet and I designed and 3d printed a hexagonal central piece to give it more stability. The model is getting quite heavy now so I wanted some extra support. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Cheers everyone, Starting final assembly.I stained the wooden box base and placed the model on the base.It is getting quite heavy now and difficult to pick up without damaging something so I will leave it on the box for the final assembly. I added the pistons that sit behind the central ball section. Carl darbyvet attached the following image(s):

I have also now glued the time rings to the central ball and added the brass rod that supports the petal assembly.I then glues the whole assembly to the platform.I took some fettling to get everything to fit .Once this has completely dried the next step is to add the petal assemblies and add the final parts to the platform (chair etc...).
