Hi all

As with all MFH kits the packaging and the presentation begins with the box and the box in question is colored in a light metallic blue with a sticker on the side announcing the kit type and version.

On opening the box your confronted with lots of high quality resin parts wrapped in bubble wrap sleeves along with another bubble wrap package containing detail parts like the cables and springs for the shocks. Next you see the finely moulded tyres with logos and blue stripes and some more bags of smaller resin parts. Below these parts you will find the instruction wallet containing the build instructions, painting/decal guide, etch parts and leatherette for the seats and also material for the carpets.

After lifting another cardboard separator you will find below it the turned aluminium wheel hubs and the metal detail parts. Most of the detail parts are of MFH's high quality and detail castings in metal. These parts will need a minimal of cleaning up to remove mould and small amounts of flash but nothing of any significance.

To Give an idea of the detail that is included the foot pedals have the 'AC' trade mark cast into them just like the real thing. Along with the standard grey metal parts several parts like the cylinder head, exhaust pipes, pedals, gear shift lever, mirror, seat belt buckles and wheel locks are made from a metal that after polishing will give a chrome like finish another nice MFH touch.

The instructions are typical MFH in that they have minimal written instructions but rely on the high detail drawings with notes to build the model. Just make sure you study them and drill out any holes as indicated and dry fit everything twice before you think about glueing/screwing anything together. Also each semi assembly include the painting details but there easy to follow once your used to the instruction layout.

The decals again are of high quality and include the advertising oil ect one's standard for the period. lastly there is the decal placement page and on its reverse some parts identification and windscreen shape drawing for any adjustment if needed.

All in all everything I have come to expect from a top high quality kit maker that can be built straight out of the box. Yes for the extreme rivet counters there are extra bolt heads and small parts to enhance the kit but for most people it is an OTBB as supplied.

Expensive I here you say but MFH are going from strength to strength with a high demand from modelers for high detail kits and other manufacturers like Tamiya are now starting to tap into this market with there high quality 1/32 kits. To make a comparison 30 years ago Pocher kits were what made grown men cry with the detail available on them at the time and to be able to build one was a goal now MFH have taken that above and beyond what was then available.

Looks like a very nice kit.

One side question though, what does the "Multimedia Kit" mean? Im looking at something on the web site. A Brough Superior SS100 motorcycle and it is a Multimedia Kit and I was wondering what that means.

A multimedia kit consists of parts in cast metal, cast resin, etch parts and anything else that may be supplied like real springs, scale screws/bolts/ wiring, seatbelts and leatherette for seats ect. Making a kit in this way enables a high degree of detail that most plastic kits would struggle to reproduce and have a high part content.
