Hi all.

As the topic says, I'm getting very ticked off with Jacklin in SA. First shipment I didn't receive issue 3, but rather 4 and 5. THey did send it later after I told them about it. So my next lot in the post should have been the binder (which is out of stock), 5, 6, 7 and 8. But I received ANOTHER copy of issue 3, and issue 8. So instead of 3 (because they sent issue 3 seperately)I only found 2.

Has anyone else been having such a bad experience with the post or is it just me?

Regards,
Francois

Hey Francois

I have had 1 issue with supply and that was from CNA and only because the delivery was late as the cycle race was on and lots of closed roads. Other then that the CNA has been great. I decided at the off not to subscribe, so far so good. I dont really care for the freebies as I think I have got better quality goods from the hobby stores. Hope you get sorted out. I am at issue 14 now.

Current build : The Victory
Pending builds : none - yet
Built loads of bikes trucks planes and boats - all plastic kits.
on wish list - a 1:24 spitfire, in wood, plastic, just as long as I can build it :)

Hi mates

I subscribed from issue 1 and to date have had no problems. 1st del 1 and 2, 2nd del 3 to 6, 3rd del 7 to 10.

There has been delays with the freebies I only received the magnifying glass with del 3 in separate parcel. Reason for delay out of stock.

Lets see what comes with the next delivery.

Happy building

Hi all

I must say that I have had a very smooth experience with Jacklin so far. All past issue deliveries have been on the 6th of the month like clockwork. No delayed gifts, missing parts or damage to anything. So far - touch wood!!!

Thanks Jacklin, keep up the good work.

Regards
Jacques

Hi All

I to have not had any real problems, 1st delivery 1 and 2, 2nd delivery 4,5,6,& 7. The reason given by customer service for the none delivery of part 3 with 2nd delivery, out of stock, 3rd delivery 3, 8, 9 & 10, and back up to date. The magnifying glass free gift arrived by separate post, 3 days before the 3rd delivery.

I was a bit bleak when my package arrived minus the magnifying glass, but otherwise all issues came in order. I figured there was a stock issue, so haven't started whingeing yet, I will give them another week then call them with a friendly reminder... I'm thinking they have to specially order these for us, cos I don't see all that many South Africans on the forum Cool.

Ok, so I called jaclin, and the guy on the line was very friendly, checked what has been mailed so far, issue 9-12 is due out in the next couple of days Mad at least I only have to hover around my letter box from the 22nd,,, the subscription incentives have not been posted at all due to stock problems. He said they will be sent asap, most likely all together, depending on how long they take to arrive in South Africa.

Otherwise all is cool, I just have to somehow stop myself from heading off to cna to buy everything up to part 16... rofl

Hi all

You think you are struggling, haha. I will make it short but listen to this. Jacklin sent my magazine’s so that I can’t build anything. October I received issue 2 and 3, November nothing, they claim it got lost in the post. I can believe that because we live in Africa time haha.
December issue 4, 8, 10 and 11.

January 2011 Happy new year, issue 5, 6, 7, and 9 now after all this waiting I can start to build haha. I’m supposed to have issue 12, 13, 14, 15 also in the beginning of January but maybe I’m lucky to receive this next month haha.
I received 2 of my freebees, magazine binder and the magnified glass, hopefully by February I will have my toolbox.

Good luck with building the Victory.

One thing about Jacklin they have plenty of excuses when my 4th delivery did not arrive in December (should have been mid December) I phoned early in Jan 2011 and was told they were stocktaking and the 4th delivery was only posted on 24 Dec 2010. I received this delivery on 7 Jan with tool kit which arrived on 6 Jan. If December was an abnormal month lets see if my next delivery arrives next week. This should be issues 15 to 18.

I'm not holding my breath.Confused Confused

Good morning all.

I see I’m not the only one that is struggling.

My question is, is it worthy to subscribe and get all these frustrations? Book stores are selling magazine 19, I’m at number 11 with full of hick-ups. I think it’s going to be a 3 year project.

I sent an E-mail last week Monday and still waiting for a replay. I gave up to phone, all the stories what they tell..........hahaha It’s a joke.

Hey Guys

Been getting mine from the CNA, just before Christmas, issue 17 failed to appear so now I have a nice looking piece of fire starter unless RNA decide to catch up . The staff at CNA have tried to get the missing issue but yesterday gave me their distributors number so lets see what happens. Will keep you informed as to what happens. Might need to get admin involved - watch this space

AgreedCursing !!

Called them today to find out what's happening to my Jan delivery, but the only thing the person on the end of the line seems to be able to say is: "I don't know sir, I'm sorry sir"! Cursing morons!

I'm surprised they are able to run any kind of business at all. How does DeAgostini select their local distributors?Confused

Hi All

Just a quick update. Today I received issues 12, 13, 14 and 15 missing issue 11. I suspect it is out of stock. I will probably get it with the next delivery, I also received the toolkit with the same delivery.

That's great news Ray, what do you think of the toolkit? Can you post some photos of it?

Right - Update on issue 17 at CNA - RNA asked if CNA had placed a fresh order, I told them that they had been trying to get the issue since I raised the question - I was told that if CNA has raised an order I will get it,if they didn't raise an order then they will take my call as an order - lets see what happens. I told them that if I dont get it then I am going to raise it with admin here. EISH :)

Hi Stefan

I have posted pics on my previous post. The items in the toolkit, depending on how you are building your Victory, will come in useful but there are more tools that you will need.

Ray
