Tomick, i am really strugling with the 1st planks on the lower stern planking, can not seem to get a good fit to the underside gallery planking, tried using some filler, but i am not happy with it. i have read somewhere that there is a trim that will cover this, is this the case or should i remove them and start again ? must admit this is the trickest bit as yet.

I notice you've not fully planked your hull, the plank which is curved at its end and sits beind the trim strip is part of the lower wale which is shown being located at steps 11/12 of issue 42 after locating the stern trim strip at step 10; it would appear you've jumped ahead and mistaken the normal hull planking to match the stern trim strip, the stern trim strip is fitted at 42 which is after the hull has been planked and the lower wale fitted.
My photo above does not show the lower hull wale plank added just the stern trim strip in readiness for the lower wale plank.

Your also fitting the stern trim strip before you've fitted the stern post, the stern trim should be fitted in two lengths, one either side of the stern post rather than being in a single length as you have it, and the trim strip should be fitted after fitting the stern post (at 39), otherwise if left as is your going to have to chop-out a section of the trim strip to allow for the fitting of the stern post.

The edge of the trim strip on the top side where it meets with the underside of the gallery should be chamferred to close the angle gap where it meets with the gallery planking, if you still have a plank gap when this is done you should add a strip of planking to close any remaining gap in the gallery planking.
