Thanks for the photos - the kit doesn't look to shabby. What's your impression of the quality?

so far I have recieved up to issue 12, and my magnifying glass. (I will be waiting a few months before I see any thing else, I am overseas now) The magnifying glass quality is fine, and it does the job very well. (I'm currently usinf it to hold my launch as I paint it...) Some of the other people have complained that they aren't thrilled with the tools, but let's be realistic, they are, after all, free. We pay no more than at the shops for our issues and don't pay for postage. The tools are really an incentive to subscribe, which I would have done anyway because of my working overseas. In my opinion, whatever the quality of the tools, they make either a nice addition to existing tool kits, or a good start, to add to as you go along. The tool kit costs about 400 bucks at my local hobby shop, by the way. Part time modeller, full time biker

Hi
The toolkit quality is pretty basic. However, as Quintin rightly says it is a good base from which to start. At R400 in the shops it's a steal.
Regards Ray

Good morning all. I start to build and finish the launch very easy, with the kit you save a lot of time. All my other boats I dit all the cutting of the wood and planning, sum day’s it was a brain teaser. Toolkit is not too bad, one thing is for sure I won’t pay 400 bucks, but do remember it’s for free. Hi Wilberforce, I know what you mean mate, I had issue 33 fail to turn up on the 17th November, (finally got it this Monday) it was not worrying me because it was holding me up...far from it, just that it was missing from my collection so far...that's what really nagged at me. I am stalled on issue 28 at the moment and being held up until my missus recovers from her back injury... Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

Hi jonny Hope the missus recovers soon. Back injuries is terrible. It was frustrating me because I had this whale skeleton n my work bench and I couldn't get to the next step as it was first level gun deck, I thought I was going to be stuck with a rather large fire starter, then the next issues came in with the hull planking and I was getting more worried that I was not going to get any further but at least the shop got me sorted, so last eve I started pinning the deck in. It was awesome to do more work on the model. Current build : The Victory Pending builds : none - yet Built loads of bikes trucks planes and boats - all plastic kits. on wish list - a 1:24 spitfire, in wood, plastic, just as long as I can build it :)

We're moving house next weekend and in anticipation of the move I haven't started my model at all! Should be receiving issues 13 through 16 this week. The leaflets have been read from front to back to front again many times and I scour the forum. Can't wait to get started. (Nice double tandem garage in the new place so at least there will be some space!)
