Have to agree sometimes hours of work and nothing looks to have changed. But then the next update and you then notice the changes. It can be frustrating at times but well worth it.
Well done nice update.

On the bench

1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Once again, I really appreciate the feedback...thanks gents. BigGrin

I'm still working on issue 11 and next week 17&18 should be arriving, managing to shake off the temptation to start with something else and I should be finished with 11 end of this week....Cool

Here's a couple of pics showing how I did the center rubbing strake over the gun ports..hope someone finds it helpful..

I ran the center strake all the way from bow to stern and after the glue had dried cut in the the center of the gun port...

That looks neat Barry. Cool

You`ll have to give us the low down on how well it works.

Is it Dremel?

Yes it's a Dremel...beautifully engineered and built and I think as long as it's used correctly it should last me forever...BigGrin

Been looking forward to building the canons..23 parts without the rigging each Huh, Here's a couple of pics of the first one..can't get the blackening stuff here and I didn't want to paint them in case it peeled or flaked so I left them in their natural state...only 41 more to go..BigGrin

Thank's gent's, forgot to mention, the Dremel drill press works a treat..each canon side needs 4 x .6mm & 1 x .8mm hole...easy with the Dremel just difficult to change bits whilst in the press also not sure why they don't make a vice to compliment it???? Confused

I have the same dremel jig, it's great, I fixed a timber base on top of the metal one, then I could pin temporary fences etc to get work done more accurately.

Build looking good.

Managed to get 10 of the canons finished...couple of things...I glued in the eye bolts at the rear of the canons luckily I managed to remove them as it would be really difficult to fit the tackle blocks with them in place. Secondly, need to take more care in cutting those small triangular lifting blocks at the base of the canon to make it easier to line them up at the same angle....

Looking good there, all lining up perfectly, I like the irregular look, different angle on the guns, different lengths on the shrouds,. If I say that, it looks like I meant to do it on my Boat. ( thats my excuse and i am sticking to it. LOL )

Every bit done is always a bit less to do.

Wonderful building.

I so love this ship and its getting close to my top of list.

Waiting for my last D51 pack which has been sent but notvarrived and that is then another sub finished giving me a little extra to look at something else.

Love the dremel items and have that stand myself. Hope you get a lot of use from it.

Hope it all continues well for you.
Happy Modelling

Laugh Laugh Laugh Yep I do get carried away at times...practiced making up the blocks for the canons, started with the wire supplied (can't solder it ????), then tried the rope sheeeeze...lastly tried some 0.4mm silver coated copper wire my wife uses for beading cutlery..BigGrin BigGrin That will work, easy to shape, strong enough and solder-able.
But if things get any smaller than this I'm going to have to get more Magnification..Blink
Here's a pic of the first bits...
