tom,I'm building 4 ships at the mo. foz,73 lengths of mahogany 5mm. x .06mm.x 1000mm. benny, that was not sarcasm, that was me being funny, when I master the englasy languige, and learn to speel, you will realise that,I try to be witty, but get mistaken for sarcasm.hope I hav'nt offended you. the gaps will be dealt with by the old tried and tested method, run a slither of glue along the gap, then gently sand over it,leaving the saw dust to fill the gaps. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Karl, you need to put an infil of deck planking to the rear of the main mast, which should stop half way across the first deck beam it reaches.
Issue 45 contained a magazine typo error which I highlighted in my build diary, which is at step 19 on page 13, the text should read to plank to frame 25 not 24. Which is why you have a shortfall in deck planking in this area, which is likely to be visible when the next deck is installed as there will be a cut-out in this area.
