Welcome to my first ever build diary.

I got my first issue of the Delorean today from my local news agents. I will not be subscribing after how the 3D printer and Nissan car was, So i am hoping if i order at my new agents i will get all the issues.

I have never done a build diary before so i thought i would give it a shot.

The car is planed for 130 issues.


The Delorean

1:8 Scale
Length - 52.7cm
Width - 23.2cm
Height - 14.3cm

Working Headlights
Bonnet opens
Folding wing mirrors
Cooling vents
Gullwing doors open
Working door lights
Windows roll up and down
Working Brake lights
The wheels can be tilted
Fully detailed Delorean engine
Illuminated Reactor
Illuminated flux capacitor
Working interior light
Illuminated speedometer
Working steering wheel
Illuminated time circuits
You can opt to change the nuclear reactor out for the futuristic Mr Fusion version.

Push the lower rear section into the 4 holes on the upper rear section. Take 4 BP screws and fasten them with a screwdriver in to the 4 holes. The bumper should be firmly joined together.

Next is fitting the right lights into the light frame and securing it to the upper rear section. Take the 4 light parts and clip them into the corresponding spaces in the frame. Then push the assembled frame into the right side of the upper rear section. Push the plastic lip in first before pressing the rest of the frame in place. Use a BP screw to secure the frame in place.

Next we move on to the number plate. The AUG sticker goes above the O and the CA-86 sticker goes above the E. Then clip the number plate into the plate base making sure they are both the correct way up, Then secure the number plate with 2 AP screws. Take the plate holder and clip it onto the lip on the top of the plate base. Add 2 AP screws to the holes on the back to secure the plate holder to the plate base.

The last part of issues 1 build is to add the bumper. Making sure the delorean logo is the right way up, take the bumper and attach it to the lower rear section. Align the holes and push the 2 pieces together. Store the extra screws to keep them safe as they may be used in other issues.

Align the long black trim with the 2 holes (Note in the book it says 3 holes) on the outside of the wing making sure the trim fits flush with the edge of the wing. Press the trim firmly into place and add 2 AP screws.
