Hi All, Thanks to all who looked in and for the comments. Things coming together in this update. I`ve changed the order of fitting these parts for two reasons: One - I have fitted the Island first, as there are two deck railings that fit either side of a projection of the Island and it ensures the railings are in the correct position. Two - With the detailing done on both sides, I`ll put on the deck markings and furniture on and then the cranes last, so they don`t get damaged by my arms whilst finishing the deck. The pics are as follows: 1 and 2 The Island is fitted 3 A deck grill 4 Platform and stairs to gun enplacement 5 Hull mounted hook on frame 6 Small crane on platform 7 Deck railings by the Island and Liferafts. Thanks to all who looked in and for the compliments posted. Well this is the final update of this anniversary build of the HMS Ark Royal (91)... I`ve tried to show as much detail as poss. So this is what`s on show: In order as shown in the following pics. Deck marked (decals) Stern detail (from included brass etch) Gantry (also etch) Etch for the Fairey Swordfish Bi-planes Two pics of the three plane types (13 in total, more of these later) Crane for the ships boats Two pictures of the deck detailing The Blackburn Skua`s inc decals The Fulmar Mk1`s inc decals The Fairey Swordfish inc decals and finally Four shots of the complete ship. Hi Derek Nice job and well done on an iconic ship. One tip on the flight deck decals to prevent the silver edge you have in your pics. Paint the deck with your base colour then give it a clear gloss coat once dry apply the decals then seal them in using a matt clear coat. Fantastic end result, the coin certainly gives an idea of the scale and the detail in the parts! A superb build, it was a pleasure to follow.
