Very well done Derek, a fabulous end result and certainly pays tribute to a great and very historic ship. Love the little Fairey Swordfish, Fairey Fulmar and Blackburn Skua aircraft on the deck too, neatly done!! Cool ThumpUp

Hi All, BigGrin

Thanks for all the comments Blushing and advise Cool .

This kit has been a pleasure to build. No fit problems on any part of the kit.

Not much to be done in enhancing this, except maybe rigging for the cranes
and a nice display case (plans for a case already in the making and all the required tools to hand).

Having built this straight from the box, thanks to Andy for the great tip on hiding the edge of decals. Now logged for future reference BigGrin

There`s loads of fine brass etch included in this kit as standard and when I say fine I mean really fine and without my hold and fold the results would have been awful at best, disastrous at worst. See link:

Brass etch must have

Thanks again for all who followed this build. Cool

Regards

Does the kit not have a display cradle?

Yes it does, but it seems not the correct shape for the hull. It basically fits where it touches.

I intend to mount it on two short brass pillars on a plinth for final display, with an engraved brass plaque.
