IntroductionThis build will be my build of the year 2017 entry I decided to build this kit rather than attempt to build my Yamato in the 1 year timeline. PreperationsI started by cleaning down my work station. The build will share desk space with my SOTS build (currently being planked) so I'll hopefully won't have too much down time waiting for things to dry. Picture 1 Picture 2 The corkboards were purchased from Wilkos and they are just large enough to fit two frames on at once. Picture 3 The build will start in anger tomorrow michael.rolph attached the following image(s):

Regards Alan Thanks, I have been waiting to start this for a while, I think we need to get the rules changed for BOTY 2018 so we can start after the previous BOTY winner has been announced. Sitting around at Christmas and not being able to make a start was really annoying.

Another excellent entry to the BOTY, I like the cross section kit, although not brave enough to attempt it! Looking forward to following your build.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. This update is slightly delayed due to the an internet outage :( second time this has happened in a month I'm going to have to change my provider Frames - Stages 121-123I used some overhead projector film over the top of the template (I have a large stash from making matchitecture models) Picture 1 Picture 2 The frames were added to the keel as they dried. Picture 3 Picture 4 Once all the frames were added I connected all the floating pieces using the dowels. Picture 5 Finally I attached the keelson.
