Thanks for that link jonny5j. Hopefully the Rope (thread) supplied will be to scale but you just never know! Easy enough to make for a quid or two which is a lot cheaper than the Amati one! Hi Cliff, Try This Open the window you want to see (http://www.densmodelships.com/2.html) Then do this Goto (top left) File or Page (depends how you view your page) -> Click Save As -> File name:(whatever you want) Save as type: Webpage, complete (*.htm,*.html) Encoding: Western European (ISO) This will save a copy of the page on your hard drive for offline viewing!!!! Hate the no right click game but its easy to get round when you know! Any shipmates visited the real thing at Chatham. Fascinating watching it at work. Now there's an idea for a working model. Useful too.

you will get the cordage but will it be to scale? I have already bought mine weeks ago from cornwallmodelsndboats.just in case I do a bit of kit bashing. Thank God someone else asked what a rope walk was. I don't know either, but didn't want to admit it. But as my Dad used to say "The only daft questions are the ones you don't ask" Jimmy L.
current builds : Lancaster 1/32 (Hachette) Revell USS Kearsarge Titanic Lifeboat
I started off with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

a ropewalk is a device that twist rope together to make thicker ropes there was a program on t.v. showing the last of the rope makers that still do it i think its called the ropewalk because the person making the rope walks along with the spinner checking the twist, at the time they were making rope for the victory

Hi guys. Why would we need to make our own rope I am hoping that the price we are paying we should get the correct scale gear. Mind you if the carronade fittings & anchore cable are anything to go by........
