I'm so totally loving this. One of my favourite cars ever and wonderfully executed. Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.
Happy building :-) http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Thanks everyone for looking in and your comments. The chassis on the original AC Cobra [English version] had only 3 inch tubes to the chassis and leaf springs this held the bristol cars engine[ based on a BMW engine] quite nicely. But to fit the big Ford lump on the chassis they upgraded the tubes to four inch and put independent wishbone suspension all around. It was these upgrades along with the big Ford V8 that made this Car into what it was. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Found this article online called the 'Cobra-Ferarri wars' its got some pictures with captions and gives some history of the rivalry between the cars. This all came about when Ford thought he had an agreement to buy Ferarri cars this never happened so Ford went out to destroy Ferarri on the race track. Hence his supply of engines to Shelby for the AC Cobra and his later involvement in developing the GT40 cars. http://cobraferrariwars.com/66-photos.html
It also contains a pic of Steve McQueen driving an AC Cobra. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Coming on really nicely Andy, if it wasn't for the box it is standing on, that would look so real. Regards Markwarren (Mark) Admin
