Hi All,BigGrin

Purchased this kit and dio some while ago, which is currently residing in the stash. Decided to open up the very heavy boxes to see the content and share my thoughts with you. Also sorted the numerous bits of strip wood and frets whilst open.

On first inspection there are some bits I may change materials on/alter.

The tram decals being the first. As they are two dimensional, I will look into detailing the sides of the tram and just use the decal signage.

On the dio, the black plastic tubing for pipes etc, will most probably be exchanged for dowl or maybe even brass tube if I can get the correct size to fit the rest of the parts. I`m also looking at changing the paper cut out clothes on the washing line for some real material ones,we`ll see.

On first inspection this kit looks to have plenty of detail and the metal parts look pretty clean too. For now it`s back to the stash.Blink Blink

So, some pics:

Was on one of these last summer in Lisbon and been thinking about getting one. Saw the tram online for £49.99 just after Xmas but took too long to do anything about it and it's back up to £79.99. Cursing

It looks a cool kit.

Brilliant to see another occre fan Derek.

I have most of the tram kits in the stash as the pricing and unusual subject matter is almost a must.

What is interesting to see is that in some of the new versions they are switching to self adhesive decoration rather than the paper versions.

I have the london tram and i think the difficult bit will ge trying to match the maroon colour on the paper decorations to a paint that is the same.

The diorama kits look brilliant i must say and provide the builder with such a scope to expand on.

Hope when you get to building this you have some great fun.

One small suggestion i would make before storing them is just check all the parts are in the kit. Occre are good at replacing missing or damaged parts though i must admit.
Happy Modelling

Looks a comprehensive kit and a 'builders' model that in the right hands should turn out a beautiful end result.

Thanks All for looking in and comments.Cool

Looks like this may start a bit earlier than I had anticipated.Blink

Reason: The parts I need to get the Vic carronade somewhere near where it should be, have been ordered and some bits are on back order and/or not available elsewhere.Crying

Still, shouldn`t take long to finish when the bits do finally arrive.

Hopefully this kit is "in the right hands", but only time will tell.

Mick, I remember the issues you had with the London tram and will be carefully looking for any pitfalls before I fall in them. Thanks for the reminder though.

So, watch this space and we`ll see what happens.
