Stage 12

Contents: Road Wheel Inner, Road Wheel Outer, Suspension Arm, Pins, Treads, Second External Fuel Tank, Contact Wheel Screw, Axle Bolt, Nut, Split Washer, Washer, Screws, Spring, Hub Cap.

Locate the two holes in the hull behind the first external fuel tank. Push the posts on the underside of the fuel tank into the holes in the hull. 

Insert one of the screws supplied with this issue into the hole and half tighten it. Insert the second screw into the other hole and tighten it, then go back and fully tighten the first screw. 

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 13

Contents: Glacis Plate, Treads, Pins, Screws.

Locate the four posts on the underside of the glacis plate that will fit into the holes in the hull. Align the posts on the underside of the plate with the holes in the hull and push the glacis plate into place.

Check that the top and bottom edges of the glacis plate are flush with the hull.  Now turn the hull over and insert two screws supplied with stage into the holes. Support the glacis plate with one hand and gently tighten the first screw, then tighten the second screw.

Insert the two remaining screws supplied with this stage into the holes on the other side of the hull. Tighten the first screw, then tighten the second screw.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 14

Contents: Road Wheel Inner, Road Wheel Outer, Third External Fuel Tank, Screws, Treads, Pins, Suspension Arm, Hub Cap, Washer, Split Washer, Nut, Axle Bolt, Spring.

Retrieve the assembled section of track and remove the pin at the end. Align one of this stage’s treads with the end of the track. Align the holes of both parts and insert a pin through them. Position the track on its side and lightly hammer the pin into the track until it is flush with the tread. 

Repeat steps 3-5 to connect the other four treads placing the remaining pin into the end of the last tread for safe keeping.

Take the third external fuel tank and place it onto the corresponding area of the hull, pushing the posts into the holes. Turn the hull over and insert two screws supplied with this stage into the holes, tighten the first screw, then tighten the second screw into place.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.

Stage 15

Contents: Towing Cable, Bow Splash Plate, Driver’s Hatch Cover, Screw, Treads, Pins, Rails.

Place the driver’s hatch cover over the corresponding hole in the hull then push the post on the underside into the hole below it.
 
Take the bow splash plate and place it on the front of the hull aligning the four posts with the corresponding holes below. Push the post gently into the holes. If they are loose secure them with a little glue.

Hook one end of the towing cable over the hook at the front of the hull, on the left side.  Position the cable between the two uprights then lead the cable under the hook on the right side, then up and through the two uprights above it.  Position the cable between the two uprights on the left side of the of the hull, above the hook. Loop the end of the cable over the U-shaped bracket, positioning the cable between the remaining two uprights. 

To secure the end of the towing cable, insert the long screw into the hole of the U-shaped bracket. Tighten the screw through the hole. Keep turning until it enters the hole on the other side of the bracket and finally stops.

Contents: Fourth External Fuel Tank, Screws, Road Wheel Inner, Road Wheel Outer, Treads, Pins, Hub Cap, Spring, Suspension Arm, Axle Bolt, Nut, Split Washer, Washer.

Half tighten one of the screws into one of the holes in the underside of the fourth external fuel tank to tap the hole. Repeat this with the second screw and hole. Now keep this part to one side with the screws still in the holes until you need it.

Retrieve your assembled track section and remove the pin at the end. Align one of the treads with the end of the track, align the holes of both parts and insert a pin through them. 

Position the track on its side and lightly hammer the pin into the track until it is flush with the tread. Repeat this process to fit the next four treads to the track. 

Place the remaining pin into the end of the last tread for safe keeping.

This stage is now complete. Carefully store the assembly and any unused parts in a stage labelled bag.
