This one would pose a serious dilemma for me... It's a 300SL! But it's Eaglemoss! But it's a 300SL! But Eaglemoss! I guess I'll just finish my Tamiya one. There's a complete build of it on another forum and it actually looks amazing. The guy who did the build had very few problems and praised it to the hilt.
I haven't added a link, or mentioned the forum concerned as I'm not sure it's allowable.
I only mention it in possible defence of the kit. Mind you, no kit is perfect.

I am in the process of building this subscription and so far have had no issues: soon i'll have the main body section, I'm hopeful the color matches the hood , doors, etc.

Hi Eagle,
How did you manage to subscribe to this? Will they post to UK? I have been looking to build this car for ages.

It is spectacular. I had a hell of a lot of fun with this build. The only issues I had were caused by something being dropped on it, resulting in a new wing window, and a new wiper. (neither the wife, nor the cats will fess up...) I'm not sure why the pics won't open. They are 800x 600. I'll try again, with less compression. experten attached the following image(s): Tired, Old, and Cranky!

Photos looks great experten, thanks for putting them up; I'm much less apprehensive now that I've seen the paint match is good between the panels.
I have friend in Europe who subscribed and ships me the issues in batches.

He would re-post to me every 2-3 months, when the cost/benefit ratio worked out as far as the postage went. You, sir, do amazing work! Your Pocher Rolls Torpedo is fantastic. Tired, Old, and Cranky!

That is a gorgeous model. Do you have tips to builders of this one? The doors look like they could cause fits...

Rich Rich, they need a fair bit of VERY judicious bending about to get them to sit smoothly. Also, the pegs on the doors for the micro switches (on mine) needed a wee bit of filing down. They were so long that it kept lifting the door up enough that the dome light would come on. Tired, Old, and Cranky!

Just as a note to anyone thinking of building the 300 SL.
I emailed Eaglemoss regarding this and they replied that they have no plans to release it in the UK. They also said it was not possible to order it from France to be delivered directly to the UK.
Shucks....
