Hi all Its been a bit of a long time for the next update as its a bit nutty at work at the moment  I have started a lot of bits and bobs on the deck as I don't want to fit them around the rigging so cracked on with the belay bits and knight heads and the cat heads plus the doors and ladders next up the rails along the bulwarks. As you can see I have raised the rail at the stern and that will continue along the rest of the ship after I have rigged and fitted all the cannons I have fitted some more carvings to the side of the ship next job fitting the cannons The blocks for the cannons were far to big so made my own as you can see the coin is a 5pence so they are a bit fiddly but look more to scale I have looked at the 1-10 scale model and the cannons don't seem to be fitted with a breaching rope or in haul tackle so a little less work to do Thanks for following rgd Martyn Ps l have got some period cannons for the Vasa but decided to use the kit ones as I have a cunning plan for them as I am planning a scratch build of the Triumph which was the ship of Robert Blake in the 1650s Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?

Nice work Martin and I think you may find the naked lady's are mermaids all the ships decorations were there to show how powerful and knowledgable the swedish king was hence the plethora of lions and beasts from antiquity going back to the Romans ,Greeks and Egyptians. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Thanks for the comments guys A bit more done on the Wasa I have finished rigging the cannons and fitted the knightshead to the knightsheads . Next job fitting the large wooden cleats to the side of the bulwarks I had to make them a bit smaller as they were to chunky and over scale I must admit they still look big but looking at the pictures of the 1/10 scale model they are huge The dead eyes are now fitted to the chain-wale and have started making the crosstrees for the fighting tops and tapering the masts Cheers for looking rgd Martyn Martyn Ingram attached the following image(s): Building ?
