"The ship model presented here is made of wood and have been to their manufacturing. No kit component was used to their manufacturing." Therefore its not built from a kit but is a scratch built model, even so he's a tad optimistic at its value Anything is only worth what one is prepared to pay

I assumed it was a scratch build, but £7,000!!! Then again as you say Tomick anything is only worth what somone will pay, Ebay may have some bargains, but I've noticed over the years that people get caught up in the auctions and pay way over the top. Recently there was a model ship building book that went for more that it cost's on Amazon. Come on you Jimmies

When a person puts his heart and soul into creating a model, and at the end of its construction you have something to be proud of, it then becomes something that is priceless!! Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

You are certainly right there Johnny. Some years ago I built several aircraft models for the commercial market and what a chore that was. People don't appreciate what goes into building models whether aircraft, armour or ships. All they see is the initial cost of the model, and consider your time as worth nothing. I get great satisfaction in seeing the model develop and overcoming any problems that arise. This, to me, has to be what modelling is all about.
