Looks great Andy,
looking forward to seeing that lovely paint color that defines the Shelby.

How is the paint working out for you? Over here we have a company that makes lacquers for cars that are supposed to be exact matches for the real cars.I have some for my Tipo. The Zero paints look like they are similar

BigGrin Hi All

Thanks for looking in and your comments both

@ Carl, The Semi Gloss Black is Tamiya acrylic but the grey undercoat is Zero's new two pack undercoat. The undercoat works well and all you need is a very light coat for good coverage and a nice finish, its sandable after 24 hours if needed.

BigGrin Hi All

Blinged up the wheel hubs as per the instructions by spraying them gold with Vallejo's 'Liquid Metal Gold' paint, really do like this paint gives top results everytime.

A word of warning on the Vallejo paint its a synthetic resin with metal flakes formula that gives an excellent finish but letting water any where near it and it turns rusty and will destroy your airbrush if its not cleaned properly. I use an airbrush for acrylics only and another one for oil/resin based paints.

Just make sure you clean your airbrush well and if you think its clean do it again you will be suprised whats still in it.

BigGrin Hi all

Thanks for looking in and your comments.

Couldnt resist putting the rear tyres on the hubs to see how they look ,still need to add the air valves. The main outer body has now had its first primer coat. SOme more prep will be needed before any top coats go on.

Very nice wheels, they look superb with the tyres on! I like the first primer coat, shows up all the little imperfections. And when they are done and the next coat goes on it really starts to look the part. Nice work Andy.ThumpUp BigGrin
