Hi Stuart,

yeah, I used the Blackener from CMB. I did the Barrels, the eyelets the rings and the caps. Saves painting lol..

Hi All,

Thanks for the comments..
I think the letters quite suit it.. :)

Here I have installed all the cannons with the Breach rope attached... Ready for the next step.

I have started the blocks... Eyes are sore now getting late and squinting looking at these.. :D

I found that by getting a sheet of course wet and dry and a hard foam sanding block. You put a small block in between them and rub around on top of the wet and dry sheet lightly you can sand the blocks all the way round. The ones on the right are originals un sanded..

Hi .

Here is the latest update.. I have spent a couple hours here and there doing all the blocks for the cannons in between running around after my 6 kids, but am finally getting there with the cannons. I have one side done apart from the rope coils. But will make those all in one go.
Once all done I can move onto the top deck.. Hurray. :) :)

They look really good Chris. I can really appreciate how much work has gone into those cannon. I only had three a side for the Halifax and they took long enough and I still haven't added the train tackles at the rear.

Victory is going to be something else when I get that far!!

Hi Again,

Been busy today...

First I marked out the steps on the main deck ready for the hand rail, then I installed the pillars and the chain pump handles. Then the stove in the correct position. Once all done fitted the top deck.
All ready for the bulwarks to be planked now. Or do I plank the deck first..?

Thanks Mr T,

Its not looking too bad for only 30% of it being based on the instructions A/L give. I've done most from pictures of the Jotika Prototype also you don't get the Chain pumps, the stove and the elm tree pumps.. Oh and the top deck is not ply in the kit.. But that's what makes the more fun in making the parts yourself.

Hi all,

Well I've been a busy man today..Lol..

I masked the gaps up on the deck and the opening so I don't get too much saw dust under the deck. I the made the cut outs for the gun ports. and proceeded to make the frames. Then line the insides.
