Good evening to you all!! My name is Richard I'm 49 and have been into model making since I was 10 my first kit was a Spitfire, an Airfix 1/72 scale Jobby. I found this site by accident, was looking for information on the Meng King Tiger and found the post by Nemesis and thought it quite interesting. I am into Tigers and into them in a big way. I try and make my Tiger models as accurate as I can. I stress the "I" as I am not a rivet counter but my enthusiasm tends to outweigh my abilities. I am on the closing stages of building a Takom King Tiger from 505 and am halfway through building the Meng King Tiger. My wife recently bought me 2 more Takom King Tigers, the "Porsche" KT and the Series Turm KT both with full internals and both with Zimmerit. I look forward to chatting with Fellow modellers and admiring your builds, inspiration will be flowing I am sure.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am not all that good, you welcoming me like Hobbits would Gandalf at a fireworks display, or young Jedi welcoming Annakin Skywalker at a school party, ooh hang on, that last one was a bit wrong. Anyway, will put pics up soon and if ok will put up a build diary of my "Porsche" King Tiger from Spz.Abt 506. Going to be a little twist on this one as it will have the earlier exhausts and not the usual curved ones. Will also do a review of Meng and Takom KT with a nice bit of info on accuracy that will be nice from for all to hear.
