Hi All, I have been having so much fun fitting the sails that I decided to jump around the issues and tackle the Mizzen sails. I fitted the mizzen top sail and the mizzen top gallant sail to their yards. The instructions suggest that someone hold the cross jack in place while you tie the sling. A hair clip sufficed in the absence of another hand. I then fitted the mizzen top sail and yard. This completes Issue 112 – 3.5 hours. A small milestone for me as this completes my 100th issue. I need to go back and build the 34ft launch (around issue 6-14) Kind regards, Garth Garth attached the following image(s): "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. On hold: Bismarck, Golden Hind, Flying Scotsman, Victory Cross Section, SOTS, Tiger 1. Wish list: USS Constitution.

Very neat work Garth. Looking forward to next update. Will it be the 34ft launch or more sails? I don`t mind either, it looks great and I`m liking your work. Well done. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Hi Derek, Thanks for looking in. No, definitely more sails - I'm having a ball I think I will build all the small boats together. I helps me to get into a routine that seems to improve on my efficiency. Kind regards, Garth "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. On hold: Bismarck, Golden Hind, Flying Scotsman, Victory Cross Section, SOTS, Tiger 1. Wish list: USS Constitution.

Hi All, Fitted the Mizzen Topgallant sails. Once all the sails were up I decided to check the electrical again – lights still work. After that I assembled the mizzen bowlines. I thought of making a jig to get the sizes right, but as the angles and shape differs with each one, I made them as per the instructions. That completes Issue 113 – 2.5 Hours Kind regards, Garth Garth attached the following image(s): "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. On hold: Bismarck, Golden Hind, Flying Scotsman, Victory Cross Section, SOTS, Tiger 1. Wish list: USS Constitution.
