Hi Hendrik, she is certainly taking shape now with the gallery being fitted... Lovely work.... .. Clamping pieces to the model does require some imagination and a little trial and error but we all get there in the end.... .. Very well done, keep the pics coming..... Regards Alan

Thanks Alan for looking in and your continued support. You are right, this new hobby keeps me on my toes and requires continued innovation. In this part of Africa it is often difficult to get all the specialised and wonderful toys the Europeans and Americans have. You end up making a lot of tools yourself and come up with a number of weird and wonderful creations. This obviously does not only apply to model ship building, but also to other things.
Regards Hendrik

So after a long hiatus I have decided to start building again. It will be slow going because I am quite busy with other things as well. I hope to be able to at least do some work every week.
I should be able to post a few build pictures soon. At the moment I am busy with the stern decorations.
I did not receive issue 60, 61 and 111 so I have to make the pieces in some other way. I am experimenting with casting them using resin. Once I am happy with the results I will post a full write up on the procedure I followed.
The gallery roofs that should have been included in issue 61 can obviously not be cast using the other roofs and thus I will carve them.
Regards
