This photo shows the starboard side. I carefully cut the strips with a razor saw once the glue had dried making sure they didn't lift or bend before filing flush to match the cut-out showing the Rear Torpedo Compartment.

This image shows the stern from underneath. I decided to model the stern cap of the rear torpedo tube in the shut position.

P.S. I've recently ordered some white metal parts for the interior; two stools, one for the Sonar Shack and one for the Signals Shack, a wall mounted clock and a toilet! LOL

Thanks for your kind comments Mark. Yes, you need a bit of patience when things don't according to plan first time round but I also enjoy model making too so what appears to take an age can fly by when it goes well.

Thanks Phil. Using PVA glue gives you enough time to position them before it sets as the instructions quote specific distances of where the strips have to be placed.

Good Evening from 'The Dockyard'.

On this part of the build I will be making the inner pressure hull for the Junior Rates Accommodation Space & Galley.

I decided to make this inner pressure hull so that it matched the part-works supplied plastic pressure hulls for the Engine Room and the Control Room.

The attached image shows an overview of the U-boat with the space to be fitted central to the photo. The majority of the images on this post will depict the U-boat upside down while I worked on it to enable easier access.
