Same high standard as the rest of this build Dave and looking good. The 1:144 SR-71 'Blackbird' sounds very interesting!

You really have done credit to this kit and your fixing is brilliant with no signs of glue. Is the sr71 still super secret or is is open to inspection because i cannot imagine how they would design this one without taking one apart Happy Modelling

Probably not as top secret as it was in its'day Tony, so possibly Jasmine Models could have had access to some blueprints from Lockheed, though there are already cutaway drawings available to the public on the 'net and in books and there is also an example of the Lockheed SR-71 'Blackbird' on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in the US which could possibly have been used for taking measurements and detail photos:

Thanks all for your comments. As soon as I finish what Im working on I shall put everything into finishing this one. It shouldn't be long now Tony, I have no idea with regards to access to the SR71, Jasmin Models version does look pretty cool though

I was hoping to get this finished before the end of the year but I will settle for New Years day instead I added some dry brushing to the engine to help pick out the details. Finished pictures in the finished build gallery davetwin attached the following image(s):
