Model Shipways supply this manufacturer type/size copper tape with their kit, which is used in conjunction with a pounce wheel to nail mark:

 Interesting to see the jagged water line of the copper sheathing in the 1858 photo so if your modeling the ship to represent the ship earlyer than the pic this is the way to go. Apparently the hull shape makes the Conny a hard ship to keep the sheathing lines straight  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
