Hi Carl,

All is going well. I've just found it difficult to find much time for modeling lately. Working full time and running my sons Boy Scout Troop seen to eat up most of my free time. I am still working on my Falcon build. Everything is going well, just very slow. I also have started the Sovereign of the Sea ship build. It's definitely a challenging build, but having a lot of fun with it. My plan is to finish the Falcon and then jump back into the ship build. I've also started collecting the Lamborghini Countach. I've always loved that car and since I will never have the means to own a real one, this would be the next best thing. Looks like a great build, but have vowed not to start that one until I at least finish the Falcon.

Eventually, I will have more free time (I hope) and the creative juices can once again be put to go use on all my projects.

Stephen
Current Builds: HMS Sovereign of the Seas /// Lamborghini Countach /// Eaglemoss BTTF DeLorean

Finished Builds: Millennium Falcon

Was waiting for the weather to get nice. Now it's nice but we got a puppy and that's eating up time at the moment. Hoping for some build and paint time this Friday and weekend.

DeAgostini kit builds:

Millennium Falcon: 18% Complete
Shelby GT-500: 28% Complete
Thunderbird 2: 13.75% Complete

Carl,

Many interesting things on the forum which takes so long to trickle down to us. EG; availability and pricing for the XKE Jaguar and the USS Constitution? The AL line is available in the US. Prices and costs all vary. Why a DeAg of an AL Stagecoach which costs less here? If guidance and instructions are that much better, I would pay for it but talk to us. My Samurai build was a one off for me, expensive and worth every penny. Somehow I need to be sold more on this marketing system.

Absolutely enjoy the forum system but would like to here more from other builders than just the pump up staff. IMHO.

I hear you Tom,
Most of the models I build on here are not Deagostini products and I would LOVE more US members to post builds of whatever they want.If there is something you would like to see let me know.

This forum is for all of us to enjoy and celebrate model making.Your post of the Bandai Showmens engine inspired me to find a kit and it is on my build list.

The partwork model is a bit of a novelty here in USA.It has been well established in UK and Europe. The benefit of having step by step instructions to build more complex models hopefully allows people with less modeling experience to enjoy building models.

It is a wonderful time to be a modeler. There are so many great kits being released all the time.I think it is great to see what others are building and maybe learn a new technique or help someone else improve their skills.

SO if you or anyone has any suggestions to encourage more to share their work I will do what I can.

Carl

Carl

I love to see what everyone is up to with there builds and especially contributions from non uk members as its great to see different styles of building and Interests.

I was wondering if modeller of the month is available to model makers in the USA to submit too? Would that maybe encourage builders maybe forum members that are not building deagostini kits to feel they could contribute.

Hope you get some support from the many model makers out there.

Happy Modelling

Carl,

Tony may have a point. Perhaps a US sub forum, complete within itself but with links to the mother ship?

I am not in any knocking the DeAg system, I think is is great, but it is not familiar here. IPMS is the gorilla and they are also good. But this is a web based exchange and is different.

Modeller of the month is open to ALL members: http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=20749

The idea is that it showcases ModelSpace product, after all, ModelSpace is a commercial site that promotes it's own product range, hence why modeller of the month highlight's customers that have built ModelSpace product and they don't even need to be a member of the forum.

We also have build of the year which is open to all members with any model kit.

Opportunity to contribute is there for those that wish to participate.

Ok was not quite sure how it was all structured so i guess that suggestion was not valid.

Its a difficult one then if people do not want to join in so to speak.
