Here is my build, my first ever build apart from doing the Airfix type kits as a kid. My beautiful and loving wife decided after seeing this advertised on T.V. to subscribe to it for me with teaching me some patients and having a calming affect on me. Ha, Hasn’t worked so far but I toughly enjoy building it and have also started the HMB Endeavour. I have made plenty of mistakes along the way but I don’t care as it is only me and my family that is ever going to see it and as I have nowhere to display once it is built I shall probably give it away or set sail to it and shoot at it to watch it sink! I am going for the painted finish because I have bit off more than I can chew with this model and a severe lack of tools and money has stopped me doing it the way I originally wanted. I know the hull at the front is the wrong shape and is now looking like a modern boat with a semi displacement hull but then again if the builder of the original ship had known about semi/full displacement hulls they would probably have built Victory with one, so don’t bother with any derogatory remarks about the hull. I ENJOY building this model along with the other one when I am not at my real boat and Mike Turpin for your info, she is a 31ft RLM in Fibreglass as is in Norfolk and her name is Perfick ( Hi Venice I think you have mentioned your 'real boat' at least two or three times, are you going to tell us more about it? Where do you sail it around Basildon?? Mike T ) As for Tomick, thank you, as your build is amazing. I only wish I could get it anywhere as good as yours and who knows after I have ruined a few more maybe I will but as it seems to me as you get a lot of people expecting you to sort out their problem when in fact you don’t work for De Agostini I would just like to Thank You for all the hard work you put in. As for Jase, thank you very much for the picture packs, they must have taken you a very long time and I really do appreciate them. To the rest of you that don’t lady and bicker good luck with your builds and I will continue to build my shipwreck of Victory and enjoy her such a pity that some of you seem to have forgotten that this is supposed to be a thing of enjoyment!
