Blink if everyone was in the same boat (excuse pun)i would have accepted the issue & assumed parts for issue 6 would come with issue 7 but that was not the case as i saw Karls pics with correct parts

Hi Karl,
I'm not 100% sure but the planking on the forcastle deck should cover the ribs.

If you take another look at the what your parts should look like picture it shows the planking continues over the ribs also when placing mine back on after cutting our the rib spaces I noticed that the rib height was a lot lower than the deck.

I have since re-planked the bits I cut out.
Present Build:

H.M.S. Victory
H.M. Bark Endeavour

Photobox build album

It cant be that bad, what do you mean it's sinking

issue 7 has arrived, contents all ok.btw bought some gorilla glue to trial, did a little bit of planking with it,so far NOT impressed, takes ages to dry,not as quick as aliphatic glue.

Hi Karl, I've used the brown Gorila glue (expanding version), where you dampen the surface first; its great for where you need to span a joint gap because it expands/fills and is also waterproof, and when dry the excess which is foam like can be cut way, but its awful to remove if you get residue where you dont want it, the shelf life once open ain't too hot either.

Hi Karl are you enjoying the Endeavour build?

I have 5 issues, waiting for more before I start, but not sure about the quality.

Whats your view?
Cheers

hi, my opinion so far is,quality, fair, wood very prone to warps, have to keep a constant eye on it,and be ready to wieght it down after damping,I am doing a bit of kit bashing on this one, like walnut decking, and probily use different veneer to the one supplied.

issue 7 was the last one,no.8 tomorrow, this is why I cancelled my subs,I now collect from my local newsagent, did'nt like them taking my money first, and not delivering on time, yes I don't get the freebees this way but I don't get the stress either.

Thanks Karl.

Evevtually spoke to someone there, apparently extra is for a special issue! Special issue after just 7 normal, could get expensive & to top it off these issues arrived late & have held despatch of all the normal issues up.

Think you have right idea of going to the Newsagent.

Build looking good by the way.

Thanks again.
