Hi Chaps. I have just started on my build, now there is a good many parts piling up. And I have a vague memory of reading the forum awhile ago, and there was discussion of their being someting wrong with one of the Ribs for the Hull.
I cant remember which one or what was wrong with it. And I dont want to progress further without asking you fellas about it.
So, was there a problem? Or did I imagine it? And if there was a problem, what was the fix?
Many thanks in advance.
Jim

I think it was no.15 that was dodgy, the rib had moved while the laser was cutting it,need to check that the rib are symetrical with the other ribs and the decks steps line up with the rest. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Hi there, Thanks for the help. After looking at the different methods, I think I am going to wait unil i have a deck in, and then use the superglue method. That way, i have a solid structure around the dodgy rib to work to.
Again, many thanks

Hi Jim
I found that the bottom of rib 15 was approx. 1,5mm higher than the bottom of the false keel. I increased the slot in the rib to lower the rib to line up the bottom of the rib with the bottom of the false keel.

Thanks Atholm. Think I have got it sorted now. Although I have spent so much time looking at it that I would swear bananas are straight now. Jim

Thanks everyone for the advice. What I did in the end was saw part way through the rib and with the aid of a flexible ruler, lined up the rib, and used a peg or two to hold the rib in place while the superglue dried. Seems to work okay. Time will tell. Thanks again. Jim
