Very neat work on your gunports. Such a difficult part of a model to get right as it needs such a delicate touch. Hope it all continues well for you. Happy Modelling

Stage 8 This stage was a short stage. All that was required to be done was to paint the dummy gun supports with 2 coats of matt black, not forgetting the sides of the ribs where they can be seen through the gun ports.. The same treatment was done on the stern section where it will be seen through the stern gallery windows.... That completes stage 8. Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Stage 9 Start this stage by taking the stern transom, place it on a piece of paper and draw round the top openings of the bannisters to create a template. Keep the template safe for future use. The bottom of the transom section has a small curve to it, I used steam from a kettle to gently bend to match the shape of the stern. Once happy the stern transom was glued into position and left to dry before continuing... Turned the ship upside down to start planking the aftercastle, care should be taken not to break the stern transom during this planking process. Using the measurements supplied in the instructions, shape the first plank to neatly fit at the base of the stern transom, once happy glue in place. Once dry add two more planks ensuring you glue the edges of the planks together. The last plank fitted to this area must finish at the lower edge of the stern so you need to trim and sand the final plank to fit. This completes stage 9.
