I tried different ideas but I dont have much room to work and also my hands shake a lot when trying to hold things like templates. I should never have tried something like this as a first time build but my wife thought it might teach me patients and calmness, HA fat chance Present Build: H.M.S. Victory H.M. Hi Benny, looks really nice. I like the color of your decks planks. How did you stain them ? Or did you stain at all ? Hard to see on the pictures. Cheers, Timm My build diary hereCurrent Build:HMS Victory

Hi benny! The grates will look good! yellow ochra surrounds with black cannon balls will standout great. I'll be keeping the steel look cleaning them with metal shine then after fitting the cannon balls a coat of metal lacquer to keep the shine, it should contrast well with the walnut surrounds. You'll be ready to fit the cannons soon mate!

Hi benny! We all need a break from time to time, to recharge and take stock of where we have got to. Check to see what is next and catch-up on the other jobs around the house! before we all get wrong for spending too much time on that bam ship! The family members don't always see what we get out of spending every spare minute on the build (I get peace, it helps to pass the time, a pride in what I've done! and it's better than watching them soaps on the TV!) You should have had the steel blackener by now I would contact them to see what has happened, they might say it’s because of Easter, that's what they say at holiday times.
