I am finding it rather slow going as you can only fit 1 or 2 planks at a time as you have to wet them, test them and fit them against the model, wait for the planks to dry after bending before fitting them, by which time, the day is over and, you cant glue them in place when wet. Is there anyway to bend multiple planks on one day and fit them the next after they have dried or am I doing something wrong. I suspect the latter. Please help or I will still be planking when next election comes along.

hi..i fitted mine slightly damp..cause if you wet them then bend using a hot bender then you dry them out..also taper them before you bend them as its not easy to taper a bent piece of plank ,i was doing a quarter of my hull in one evening but i wasnt being to fussy as i was going to second plank anyway
cheers benny

Thanks Benny, came to the rescue again, this is my first build and to say I have found it difficult, is an understatement. I dont agree with Deags description of it being suitable for beginners. I found doing the gun ports a nightmare and, nearly quit, on more than one occasion, my ports are all over the place, not equal in size, I wish they had been precut, the only reason I am still doing it, is because of money already spent and I think deag relied on this being the case for many of us.
Once again thanks for help.
