Even with the minor imperfections, which I can't really find , it still looks very nicely designed me indeed.

Alan Very nice. Especially impressed by the lack of glue on the inside of the hull (between the plank joints) not sure how you managed such a clean finish but must say it looks wonderful. Happy Modelling

Tony, Al, Chris, thanks for looking in and the kind comments, all appreciated.... @Tony, The inside of the hull has yet to be sanded and cleaned up but can't do this until after all the internal framing has been removed to leave the hull shell. The gluing of the planks together was simply done by applying PVA onto the plank edges using a paint brush, the trick is not to apply too much glue and to clean off any residue immediately using a damp cloth..... The other thing is to ensure the planks are a good fit edge to edge and this is where it takes time and patience.... Regards Alan

Regards Alan You certainly did that very well then Alan because even if it still needs cleaning up when the support frames come out to me it looks perfect already. Hope it continues well. Happy Modelling

Moved this build on a little further by covering the keel and sanding down ready for painting.... Next was the delicate task of very carefully removing all of the internal framing and start the process of cleaning up the inside of the hull... Care has to be taken here as it is very possible to crack the hull if too much pressure is applied while sanding.... .. Next I cut the new framing pieces from the fret, cleaned them up and have now test fitted and done some outline shaping.. Will continue with this and secure them in place.... Until next time, happy modelling..... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):
