Hi Phil,
i`m following your build with great interest.
As you can see in my diaries i`m also building this model but am currently concentrating on my victory-build so the U-96 is on a hold.
As i see your progress from week to week - you set such a high standard with all the modifications and ideas you have!
It`s hard not to loose interest in completing this build - as i will never be able to reach such a great result!

Morning from 'The Dockyard'. This weeks update on my build log of U-boat U230 will focus on fitting the inner pressure hull and t-frames [ribs] to the space that will eventually become the Senior Rates bunks, Captains Cabin, Sonar Shack, Signals Shack and Senior Rates WC. As with a previous post when I fitted the inner pressure hull to the Junior Rates Mess and Galley I started by fixing spacers to act as supports. These were cut from 4.5mm wide by 2.5mm thick plastic strip. The attached photo shows one of these strips cut to length being bent around a file handle to aid fitting.
