That looks brilliant and the mini newspaper is a really neat addition to the model. Yes, the newspaper always makes me chuckle. Can't wait until I see the guys face [Brian] with his name on the front page of The Sun! He's also a rugby fan so I'm going to make a Welsh rugby book to stick on top of the dash. Thanks for looking in. More posts to follow soon. Regards, Phil W. Morning Fellow Modellers, A quick update on the building of the 1/43 scale Bedford HA van; the bodywork has received two coats of matt white and a coat of matt varnish on the interior and two coats of matt white, three coats of gloss white and later tonight a coat of matt varnish once the decals have been applied. More on these decals in another post. I've also been experimenting with wire wool to polish the white metal bumpers, grill and hub caps. Next step on these is polishing with Brasso to really bring out the 'chrome effect' of the white metal before they get sealed with matt varnish. I've chosen to use matt varnish on all parts including the gloss white bodywork to tone down the reflections. I sometimes think that models of this size look 'too shiny' compared to their real life counterparts. Meanwhile I've made a can of Coca Cola to go between the seats and a small book on Welsh rugby in the 1970's as Brian is a big rugby fan. This book will [hopefully] fit on top of the dash. The attached photo shows the can of Cola. It's tiny; 2.8mm tall and took me two attempts to get right. Sticky Wickett attached the following image(s): Completed projects: 1/43 scale Bedford HA van / 1/43 scale MG TD sports car Current projects: 1/48 scale U-boat [U230] Future projects: 1/148 scale railway diorama / 1/50 scale R/C Volvo F89 logging truck / 1/148 scale Thunderbirds Fireflash

Yes, for a surprisingly small number of parts that make up this kit they have included tiny details that make all the difference. Regards, Phil.
