THis is an unusual kit form Polar lights. It re-creates the scene where Kane gets attacked by the facehugger. The kit is made from resin with a large base and a clear resin "egg".I have seen someone manage to get lighting in this kit which really takes it to a new level.

The parts are beautifully cast with superb surface detail and no bubbles. The resin is a bit strange. It is very hard and has a chalky texture to it. Fit of parts is very good with only winor warpage of the helmet.I saw an article in sic fi and fantasy modeller where someone managed to get lights into the helmet and torch and I will be trying something similar with this kit.

That looks a nice kit. It will look great if you could get the lighting in.

Carl,

Please, you have to do a diary of this. It's one of the most iconic moments in the franchise and I'd love to see you build it, take a few tips home with me.

Remember seeing this as a preorder, was tempted but really needs lighting for the full effect .I also hope you do build log.
Man he took his time in the sun
Had a dream to understand
A single grain of sand
He gave birth to poetry
But one day will cease to be
Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
