So bad some friends over yesterday and was going through my collection of Gundam and assorted mecha kits. Realized I have a handful built, a handful started and a lot unbuilt. I originally planned to wait and build when the man cave was done but I just really need to knock some of these out. Especially the ones I started and didn't finish. So I have decided in an effort to accomplish this I will post "speed build" diarys on here to get myself motivated. These "speed builds" will mostly be kits I already started, and ones that I am not painting at all. So time to get started with the first one. In the next photos you can see the waist which I have already built. Up next will be the torso. DeAgostini kit builds:
Millennium Falcon: 18% Complete Shelby GT-500: 28% Complete Thunderbird 2: 13.75% Complete

Very interesting to see you build these. They are some very unique looking models. The may edition of tamiya magazine has an interesting article on one of these type models that caught my eye. Happy Modelling
BUILDING: Hachette Spitfire Mk 1A, Constructo Mayflower SUBSCRIPTION COMPLETE (Awaiting building): USS Constitution, Sovereign of the Seas, 1:200 Bismarck (Hachette) COMPLETED: Porsche 911, E-Type Jaguar, Lam Countach

The may edition of tamiya magazine has an interesting article on one of these type models that caught my eye. I always suggest that anyone that likes models should build at least one bandai kit in their lifetime. It doesn't have to be a Gundam, but building a building Gundam kit will give you a different perspective on model building. DeAgostini kit builds:

Yeah I am always amazed at how big the box is and how many sprus. Then to see the kit complete and taking up a lot less space. DeAgostini kit builds:

Do you remember which Tallgeese they had? There are three different ones. I have the third one which is a P-Bandai kit. That means it's rare and expesnive haha. I have been debating if I should keep or sell it. As far as how I build mine, it all depends on the kit. I have some I have built OOB, some OOB+ which is with panel lines and weathering. Some I only painted some of the parts, and I have a few I have painted completely. I always suggest either OOB or OOB+ for your first kit but it ultimately up to you. Excited to find out which one you got. DeAgostini kit builds:

This one is a Masrer Grade or MG kit. They do tend to have more parts because they have more detail. Sometimes a lot of the detail is hidden but everyone e builds theirs different. Some people will actually build some where half the armor is gone exposing the frame like a cutaway drawing. Some people do battle damage which can expose parts of the frame. This much detail makes the options for building and displaying almost infinite. The largest American retailer of Gundam kits is actually located in Palisades Park NY. Me and a few friends are planning a road trip there later this year. I will let you know when we plan to go and you can meet us there if you like. It totally worth seeing even if you don't buy anything. DeAgostini kit builds:
