A little more progress has been done. Finished fitting the new internal frames and glued them in place. Next job on the agenda was to plank the outer stern, these were laid in a horizontal fashion. Once done moved onto to planking the internal stern section but this time planked in a vertical direction. .. Finished covering the keel at the stern and the bow, this included the internal areas... .. Until next time, happy modelling.... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Very neat work Alan. That internal stern planking looks real tricky but you have done a lovely job on it. Happy Modelling

A little more work on her where I started to build up the handrails. First task was to take four strips of 2 x 10mm walnut, two for outside the hull and two for inside. These then had to be bent to follow the profile of the hull and to do this I simply used the plank bender tool available through the ModelSpace Shop. Details can be found here: http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=22531
Once happy with the contours I then glued them in place, did this one at a time ensuring the glue was completely dry before fixing the next strip, trimmed the strips at the stern when done... .. The rubbing strake was next, this was again single strips of 3 x 3mm walnut. Once again the planking tool was use to bend the strip to the required profile. Glued and clamped the strips in place and left to dry. Trimming at the stern will be done after I have fitted the capping, this is the next task so until then... Happy modelling all.... Alan, Your planking work is beautiful. These smaller scales are great to work with. Tom

Thanks once again everyone for the kind comments, appreciated... Will be posting again very soon... @Dave, the hull is quite fragile until you get the second planking layer in place and even then it is easily cracked. As the build progresses and more pieces are added the hull gains in strength where now she is feeling fairly secure but am still handling with care... Regards Alan
