Thanks for comments Mick and Graeme. Progress is still slow due to work commitments, you've heard of burning the candle at both ends, well I'm burning the whole damn candle at the moment Anyway, some progress has been made. First of all the engine has been sprayed gloss black base in preparation for the metallic top coat, forgot to take a picture of it. As I'm jumping around the order might not seem very logical but it will all come together in the end The kit ejector seat has been assembled, lots of nice detail on it, but once painted I have a load of coloured photo etch to really enhance it The top part of the fuselage has been assembled ready to be married up with the bottom once the internal engine bay parts are finished. I started painting up the engine bay internals, they still need a touch up here an there but I'm not too worried about them being perfect, just the parts you can see when looking inside. This will then be weathered, possibly with engine grease oils. The kit is really clever whereby you can remove parts such as the vertical stabiliser to store in the box. You can see in the picture the mount for the stabiliser has been fitted to the fuselage. The stabiliser was then assembled along with the rudder. I then jumped forward and started on the stores by building the two 370 Gallon wing tanks. These will be fitted regardless of what weapons load out I choose. I will not be holding back and will be filling every hard point just as soon as I have decided what load out to go with davetwin attached the following image(s):
