Atlas Editions – The Jaguar Collection

Along similar lines to the excellent Ocean Liners collection that Steve has posted I spotted that Atlas editions are doing a collection of classic Jaguar car models.

It follows the same sort of format with issue 1 being priced at £1.99 and the second issue also being sent out at a discounted price.

In the first issue we get the Jaguar Mk 2 along with a rather nice print of the car which would look very nice in a frame.

The cars are scaled at 1:43.

The second model in the collection will be the Jaguar E-Type along with a print and a DVD entitles “Best of British – Jaguar”.

The models seem quite nicely detailed and finished.

Before taking out my subscription I did check on the number of planned models and been advised that at present they are aiming for around 31 models but as with anything the type and final number are always subject to possible change.

A few of the models they have planned are:

Jaguar Cars

Please be advised that the below examples are subject to modification without notification.

You may receive some models that do not appear on this list. There may be models listed that you do not receive

Jaguar MKII
Jaguar XKSS57
Jaguar E-Type
Jaguar XJ-S
Jaguar XK140
Jaguar XJ8
Jaguar D Type
Jaguar MKX
Jaguar SS1
Jaguar E Type Coupe
Jaguar MKVII
Jaguar MKIV 3.5L
Jaguar XK Coupe
Jaguar XJ12C
Jaguar XJR 9
Jaguar F Type Coupe
Jaguar C Type
Jaguar MKIX
Jaguar XKR-S
Jaguar XFR

Packaging could be a bit better as they put everything into a plastic bag and while the model itself is fairly well protected with an inner pre-formed clamshell style cover it does mean the actual Jaguar box the model arrives in gets a bit dented in the post.

Overall quite please so looking forward to issue 2 arriving.

Here are a selection of pictures showing the packing, the free gift and the model itself.

I have a few of the Atlas Jaguars.
The E Type coupe was nice. The 240 Mk2 was 'ok'... the Police version was dreadful.

To be fair, if there are still any going at 'three for a tenner' there are a good few i'd buy right now.

Atlas Editions – The Jaguar Collection

The postman delivered the second model in the “Jaguar Collection” yesterday.

This month we get the Jaguar E-Type along with 2 free gifts.

One of the free gifts is a nice print depicting a soft top version of the car. The second of the gifts being a DVD entitled “Best of British – Jaguar”.

The cost of this month’s delivery comes in at £13.98 (£8.99 for the model and £5.00 postage)

Next month’s model will be the Jaguar XK140 and this also comes with an added bonus in the form of 6 coasters.

Packaging could be a bit better as they put everything into a plastic bag and while the model itself is fairly well protected with an inner pre-formed clamshell style cover it does mean the actual Jaguar box the model arrives in gets a bit dented in the post. Which does make me question the £5.00 postage and handling cost.

Overall quite please so looking forward to issue 3 arriving.

Here are a selection of pictures showing the free gifts and the model itself.
