Lining those ports can be a long and tedious job but you're making very nice progress with them, they look as if they'll sand down very nicely.....Cool Cool

Nice work on the gun ports and planking, the stern planking is quite challenging.

Just a quick update as it seems ages since my last post.

Continuing with the planking. It is taking me a while as I have problems with my hands but I am really enjoying it. Your kind words of advice and encouragement keep me going (along with a quick look at the telly book - "Rubbish") keep me going.

I have the "Parvo Virus"(thought only dogs got that!) and find it extremely painful using hand tools. It can be treated but not cured. Taking on this build has given me something to strive for and I don't feel completely useless.

Thanks again for your encouragement.

Alan.

Looks like the planking is coming along nicely. Looks like you are almost there and ready for some sanding. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Looks very painful. Looking forward to seeing more of your build.

Nice work Alan.

BTY I put together an excel spreadsheet calculator that helps with the last 10 planks, if that is of use.

Your hands look quite painful but you seem to be managing quite nicely with not letting it get in the way of building your Victory ThumpUp

Looking really good so far and fantastic perseverance Cool

Thanks for looking in and all your comments. It is coming on slow but sure.

I have downloaded your spreadsheet calculator John. Thanks for the link, it will be useful when I get there.

I put 2 cut off pieces of planks on what I have done so far and measured the gap to the garboard plank. The gap is 50.6mm at the widest point. Is it worth calculating the last 10 planks from there as the garboard plank can come out ½mm, or add another layer and work off 45.6mm?

Thanks for all your help.

Alan.
