I hear you say "What Is" The Revell 1:8 scale "Corvette Stingray" Limited Edition. This kit is now getting rarer and rarer. I`ve also found that people selling this kit are getting wise to this and they are now advertising at £110 + p/p and above. Well I`ve just grabbed one, still sealed and for £69.80 and free p/p. This ones going into the stash (temporarily)as I`ve got two possible options as to how I want to proceed. Option 1: Buld out of the box, but add lighting etc (fibre optics) Steep learning curve required. Option 2: Build as the "Wheelie Stingray" of Santa pod fame and set in a Drag race dio. Lots of scratch building, Steep learning curve and lots of research. Wheelie videoWell we`ll see what happens when it happens, but I`ll open it up and post some pics of what`s in the box. Then ? we`ll see what happens. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Open the doors - the kit is crying out for doors that work. I did mine with working doors long ago. Not difficult. If you fancy giving it a go, I made a small 'explanation on 'how'' some time ago. Roy. roymattblack attached the following image(s):

Roy.
Hi Roy, The doors is a definite, if I go the OOB route. Should I go the Wheelie dio route then the doors will be closed anyway. Additional things to consider with the "Wheelie" version are: Adapting for larger rear wheels and tyres. Scratch building the wheelie bars etc. Mounting it on its rear wheels. Sourcing a scale racing driver figure. To say nothing of the dio itself. So still a way off making the decision as to which way to go. Thanks for the pic, looks a fine model.
