Thanks Darbyvet, got more done but didn't finish one of them yet for the double stand photo. I tried out this pattern for posting photos where I photograph the assembly for on set of parts but for the final photo for each step I post up both kits on the stands together. I really like they say it is working and flowing on this thread so I am gonna keep going this route. Unfortunately the next step I post up will be it for the torso until I get weather ideal for painting. May start on the waist next.

So these showed up in the mail today. They are LED units for Gundam MG kits. Not all, but a good amount of the new kits, come with a location built into the upper torso to fit one of these. It lights up the eyes and sensor arrays on the head. There are even a few Gundam kits that use multiple of these to light up a lot more of the kit. I bought a four pack on amazon for $12.99 shipped. Was a great deal because the two pack was $9.99 shipped. Plus I have found that you always get one wonky one that never works perfect, which I did. So I know have two for these kits and one for one of my other kits. I choose green because the transparent eye piece was molded in clear green. If it had been clear/clear I may have chosen something else like blue or red. Oh well green works. I took a photo of them lit up but they are so bright it didn't turn out very well, but you get the point. EDIT: Due to photobucket changing policy I am unable to save these photos. Upset with myself for not taking advantage of the beautiful weather this past weekend to get some much needed painting done. Was distracted with other projects and didn't realize e were gonna have nice weather. Supposed to have more later this week so gonna try and prep my parts for it so I can be ready to paint when it's nice again.

First up another quick terminology lesson. Under grating. Most plastic models don't do this. When they mold the parts the spurs attach wherever is cost effective. Some of the high end, high detail kits from Bandai feature under grating. This is when they mold the parts so that the spurs attach in places that won't show later when the model is built. This means no worries about cuts, scratches, etc showing or needing to be fixed. It's a very nice feature especially with coated/chromed parts. However this the first time I have built a kit featuring it and it's taking a bit to get used to because of the way you gotta snip and clip. Next up are the parts to be painted. I was able to get them cleaned up and primer before an bad storm rolled in. Will have to wait for another nice day to paint. I learned my lesson with a part on my mustang build and decided to use a light colored primer. I have decided that the regular will be blue and the HWS will be red. Photo time. Finally some time to work on this. Here are the next parts to go on the torsos. And what they look like installed. Starting to look like a torso and really love how the colors make it pop. Here are the next parts to be installed. Had hoped to do it last night but I messed up a part and deciding how I want to handle it. On one had if I put the broken part on the upgraded one it will be mostly hidden. On the other hand I can just break the other part to match as it's a minor detail. Well got the painting done. Wasn't as humid as I thought it would be. Was pretty cool in the shade as well. I thought maybe I would get some extra painting done but it wasn't to be.
