BigGrin Hi

The base is as follows L= 1078mm W= 210mm H= 40mm.

The raised centre section is 16mm inside all around the above.

what do you mean by the raise section is 16mm?

does the base sit in an area that is 16mm deep?

I believe that Andy means the raised section is set 16mm in from the edge of the base, the cover sits on this 16mm wide part.

You see the completed case in the official build

Ok so if I wanted to make a clear case for it, the inside raised portion is 1046mm x 178mm (that is just 32 subtracted from 1078 and 210 respectively)

If I had a lid made that had an inner dimension of 1041x173mm i think I should be safe.

What would the height need to be?

If you go to tools and accessories the dimensions are given and it clearly states 280mm which = 28cms and gives an amount of clearance between the train and the case. If you wish to reduce that clearance then you are of course at liberty to do so.

At the end of the day if you are building your own display case, then that choice is up to you.

Would be interested to see how it pans out. BigGrin
