stevegbr wrote:there was a bag of screws that was not present, that the one listed in the magazine so i used the bag with more screws. cant remember the letters at the moment. otherwise no problems spike. Think spike was referring to the fact that the magazine told you to screw the pipe on in the last stage, using 2 of the same screws you had just used to screw the previous part to the rest of the engine. Obviously a misprint as you don't need to screw it at all looking at the pictures, and to use 2 to screw the pipe to the fixing but only 1 to screw the fixing to the engine is complete overkill. Saw that one myself over the weekend and laughed at it. Still don't like the large screw (compared to the size of the part) that you use to connect the fixing to the engine, so may modify one to be used without the head, then filler over the join and paint it before the engine goes in. I'll probably want to weather the engine anyway, so I should be able to hide this fact without much bother. Oh, drat... The more I see here, the more I'm tempted to start my build!
I'm really trying to save all of my parts until the end but all this has me drooling!!! It really does look great.
Keep it coming.
