Issue 8

Contents: Driver’s Door Trim Surround, Driver’s Door Trip Panel, Driver’s Door Handle, Driver’s Window Regulator Handle, Chrome Finisher (Upper), Chrome Finisher (Lower), Arm Rest, Retaining Screws.

Take all the parts provided with this issue together with the door you assembled in Issue 7. Take the door trim surround and align it with the door assembly. Press the trim surround into the matching recess in the door, aligning the four fixing holes. Insert a screw into each of the four fixing holes to secure the trim surround to the door.

Take the door trim panel and the arm rest. Press the arm rest into the two holes on the panel, ensuring the arm rest is the correct way up (Tan side uppermost). Turn the assembly over and use two screws to fix the arm rest in place.

Fit the door handle into the correct hole in the panel, noting that the lug only allows it to fit the correct way up. Turn the assembly over and screw the handle in place. Fit the window regulator handle into the correct hole in the panel, again noting the lug only allows it to fit the correct way up. Turn the assembly over and screw the handle in place.

The completed trim panel should have both handles pointing down and the tan side of the arm rest facing upwards. Align the trim panel with the door assembly, noting the four mounting slots. Fit the tabs on the back of the trim panel into the four slots and press it firmly into place.

Align the lower chrome finisher with the long channel below the trim panel, in which there are three slots. Fit the three tabs on the finisher into the slots and press the finisher firmly into place. Fit the tabs on the upper chrome finisher into the three remaining slots. Press the finisher firmly into place.

This issue is now complete. Store the assembly and any unused parts in an Issue labelled bag.
