Once I was happy with the test fit of the torpedo tubes I could then permanently fix the torpedo tube bulkhead into the U-boat. This photo shows the completed bulkhead in it's correct location. Phil Looking brilliant as ever. Torpedo room for this model is a must have so its incredible that it was not added in the kit. It looks really good what you have put together so far. Happy Modelling

Great update Phil i`ve done something similar with my torpedo room bulkhead aswell regards Phil COMING SOON =1/72 Italeri diorama`s Battle for the Reichstag and Stalingrad battle at the tractor factory 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger with loads of extras ON THE GO= refurbishment of 1/25 Tamiya tiger 1 , amt Star trek kits and space 1999 models

It looks really good what you have put together so far. Hi Tony, Yes it's a shame the torpedo compartment wasn't factored into the part-works. I bought the AMP's from Germany in May 2015. While I was waiting for my second order to arrive, [I couldn't justify spending the full amount in one go], I discovered the guy had closed down his site and shut up shop. Fortunately he honoured all orders that had already been paid including mine, so I managed to get the parts through in the end. Thanks for looking in. Regards, Phil W. Good Evening from 'The Dockyard'. This weeks update of my U230 U-boat build will be looking at scratch building the Torpedo Compartment aft bulkhead. Having already bought this part as an AMP from a German supplier, I thought I could just file and fit. Turns out that the overall shape didn't fit correctly due to the newly curved deck head I installed a couple of weeks ago. I started by cutting out the shape on 0.5mm thick plastic sheet and finished it off with trimming and filing until it fitted correctly. I then marked out where the bulkhead door opening would be and removed that section. Once I was happy with the profile I glued a further 0.5mm sheet to the back to aid strength. The attached photo shows the aft bulkhead as a single sheet with the bulkhead door opening removed. Next to it you can see the brass bulkhead door that I removed from the Engine Room a few months ago to use as a template.
